Youth Job Connection

We are now recruiting for the September Program. The Youth Job Connection Full-time Program offers intensive paid training and job placement support to eligible youth that are between 15 – 29 years old and currently unemployed, looking for a job or career and not attending or returning to full-time school or training

If the criteria above is met, youth can email yjc@halton.ca or call 905-825-6000 ext. 2777 to register for an orientation/information session that will be held from 1:00 – 3:30 pm on the following dates:

- July 24

- August 14, 21, 23, 28 & 29

Our role is to help local youth prepare for, find and retain suitable jobs through pre-employment training, coaching, and job placements with employers.

Program Benefits:

- 60 hours of paid, interactive pre-employment training to prepare youth for the workplace

- Career exploration

- Job search, resume and interview support

- Workplace communication, time management and social media techniques

- Job maintenance skills and mentoring

- First Aid / CPR, WHMIS, Employment Standards

- Employment placement to gain valuable work experience
