QRC is currently looking to add to our Retail team. This is a full-time position; Monday thru Friday shift timings will vary anywhere between the hours of 7:30am to 7:30pm.


Job Title: Sort Belt Supervisor

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Date: August 13, 2019

Job Type: Full-time


Sort Belt Supervisor: Inbound / Set Up / Wrapping / Sorting / Integrity / Outbound / Hygiene / KPI / Free Astray

Sort Belt Supervisor will provide daily communication to the Logistics Manager and other members of the Retail Division.

Job Duties:


Ensure all inbound product is scanned

Facilitate the members who will be performing this task on a daily basis.

Any boxes that are unable to be scanned must be noted and communicated to the Manager

Train team members on the technical aspects of the scanner

Determine the number of team members for the following shift, nights and days


Set Up

Ensure set up is completed prior to the trailers and team arriving

Be pro-active and efficient with the set up.  Ensure team members that are on the line are being productive.

Be organized and provide instructions to the team

Provide communication to the team members on what is required

Dedicate the set up to a specific team member

Assign skids or carts to the specific stores


All skids that are more than 2 boxes high must be shrink wrapped

All skids must have the integrity to be shipped to each facility

Audit to ensure the wrapping is adequate

Order to ensure we have product on hand


Set up the belt and label the stores by way of signs or chalk on the floor

Ensure all boxes are put on the correct skid or cart

Audit the skids to ensure accuracy

Build skids to a specific height

Shrink wrap efficiently, unstable product will result in damages

Assign specific team members to specific duties, Line / Shrink Wrapping, Integrity


Provide training to the team members on performing integrity

Audit the integrity function for accuracy

Ensure the number of boxes and store number are documented on the skid

Dedicate and train specific team members to perform this function

Once the integrity has been completed ensure the upload is completed in Bear ware


Provide the necessary tools to ensure product is shipped based on priority

Ensure team members are following the outbound process

Ensure lanes are set and low volume is consolidated with other product to decrease the number of skids being shipped and maximize space

Provide communication based on On-Time-Performance

Document and track all misrouted product

Audit product in lanes for accuracy

Ensure all product is in the outbound lanes to accommodate the shipping schedule


Ensure all shifts perform a cleanup at the end of their scheduled shift or during shift when down time occurs

All garbage must be deposited in the garbage bin

Machines must be kept clean and in good working order

Office Management

Perform time studies per customer

Perform KPI

Ensure all Free Estrays are addressed and scanned

All other duties that may pertain to Retail

Job Specifications (Knowledge, skills and abilities):

Computer skills are required, knowledge of bearware system an asset

Planning and organizational skills

Motivated person who is willing to learn from training and inhouse programs

Ability to adjust to changing, fast paced, high demand environment

Flexibility with working hours

Ability to multitask in a stressful environment

Transportation experience an asset

Experience with complex environments with a large employee base

Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management

Minimum High School Diploma



Minimum 1-year experience in similar industry and similar role
