Tempel is America’s largest manufacturer of magnetic laminations for the motor and transformer industry, dating back to 1945. With manufacturing facilities in USA, Canada, Mexico, China, and India we continue to be a fast-growing industrial manufacturer providing a full range of highly efficient transformer components at our facility in Burlington Ontario, where we have been since 1975.

Our primary products out of this location are Wound Distributed Gap Cores, Mitre and Butt Lap Laminations, Logs and Fully Assembled Cores in our Flat Stack Department, Steel Sales, Custom Slitting and a warehousing for Tempel Steel’s laminations.

Work Schedule: 8 Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights/Afternoons), or 12 Hour Continental Shifts (Days/Nights)

In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Tempel has initiated several protocols to ensure the health and safety of our employees.

Flat Stack Department – Cross Training Provided

Mitre/CTL Cutting:

Operate Mitre cutting line or rapid air shearing line.

Proficient in the use of powered & non-powered hand tools.

Stacking & packaging of products.

Document work & follow instructions.

Keep assigned machines and areas clean and safe.

Provide suggestions to improve process.

Assmebly:

Material stacking into a repeating specific pattern.

Ability to follow detailed prints & procedures to create finished product.

Document work & follow instructions.

Provide suggestions to improve process.

Work in a team environment ensuring group success.

Qualifications:

Industrial hands-on experience in a similar position will be an asset.

Good overall mechanical abilities required.

Able to use and read industrial measuring tools.

Team player, self-disciplined and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Quality conscious individual.

Good safety records.

Good communication.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum Grade 12 education, or experience, or equivalent

Related training will be an asset
