We are a company rich in history and proud to be Canadian owned and operated. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrician. We are looking for a licensed Electrician to inspect, repair, assemble, install, construct, adjust and service electrical equipment for general plant and production purposes. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 3 year of previous maintenance experience within a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, straight day shift position KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide general support to maintenance and operation. Provide expertise in troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions to quickly resolve issues and reduce downtime. Electrical controls and network installations or repairs as necessary. Monitor operations to anticipate and prevent any possible production loss due to equipment failure. WORK CONDITIONS, ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: Comfortable working in a fast paced environment Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work at heights Must be competent familiar with the necessary Legislated Codes. Demonstrated Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written & verbal Demonstrated ability to use basic Math & English, with proven ability to read written instruction Work as a Team Member in all situations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate for this position must have a 309A or 442A License; PLC Troubleshooting experience; Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC; Experience using VFD controllers; Experience with thermocouples, load cells, and other transducers; Capable of working with minimal supervision when required; WE OFFER: Health and Dental benefits (after 3 months) Group RRSP Ongoing training initiatives Allowances for prescription safety glasses and safety shoes In-house safety training Opportunity for growth We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those candidates who fit the requirements of the role will be contacted.
